APR's Medikyubeu Surpasses 1.4 Trillion Won in Sales... "No. 1 Domestic Brand by Revenue"
Record-high single-brand sales in 10 years since launch
APR announced on the 9th that its beauty brand Medikyubeu surpassed 1.4 trillion won in annual sales last year as a single brand. This figure is based on the brand's total annual sales, combining the Medikyubeu cosmetics segment and the AGE-R beauty device segment.
This achievement comes 10 years after the launch of Medikyubeu and is notable in that it marks the highest sales on a single-brand basis among domestic beauty brands.
In the cosmetics segment, skincare products tailored to different skin types and concerns, such as Zero Pore Pad, Collagen Night Wrapping Mask, and PDRN Pink Peptide Ampoule, drove sales. In addition, the synergistic effects achieved when used together with beauty devices gained popularity, leading to a sharp increase in revenue. As a result, Medikyubeu's cosmetics segment sales last year grew more than threefold year-on-year, exceeding 1 trillion won.
The beauty device segment also showed rapid growth backed by steady demand. Last year, sales in the beauty device segment surpassed 400 billion won, a figure that represents roughly 100-fold growth in four years compared with 2021, when Medikyubeu AGE-R was launched. Under an internalized beauty value chain that currently spans research and development (R&D) teams, in-house production facilities, and logistics centers, APR has built a function-specific, segmented lineup covering cleansing, basic skincare, skin elasticity improvement, and facial contouring.
Medikyubeu has also made strides on the global stage, with overseas sales surpassing 1 trillion won. Focusing particularly on penetrating the U.S. market last year, Medikyubeu operated popup stores in Los Angeles and New York and ran outdoor advertisements at New York's Times Square on two occasions, thereby continuing efforts to strengthen its brand influence locally. In addition, the brand has enhanced its global presence by holding popup events and promotions in various regions, including Japan and Greater China.
APR plans to continue this growth trajectory centered on Medikyubeu this year. In the cosmetics segment, it intends to expand its product portfolio by launching hair and body lines, while in the beauty device segment it plans to introduce new products based on its proprietary technologies. The company also expects to accelerate business expansion across global markets, moving beyond its key markets of the United States and Japan to Europe, Southeast Asia, and other regions.
