The program was operated with the aim of traveling across the entire Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province to discover and promote unique tourism content, strengthen the capabilities of university students and local residents, and build a resident-based network. The main courses included writing, on-site reporting, and training in photo and video content production, and the curriculum was systematically structured to help participants grow into prospective travel writers.
In particular, to provide opportunities to experience Gangwon tourism content, the foundation invited the Gangwon Trip Writers to the "Gangwon Humanities-Themed Tour," which the foundation has been promoting, in November last year. Through this, it conducted an on-site program that toured the National Chuncheon Museum, Kim Youjeong Literature Village, Soyanggang Dam Water Culture Center, Naksansa Temple, Cheongganjeong Pavilion, and Bauzium Sculpture Museum.
The Gangwon Trip Writers produced travel content based on theoretical education and field practice and achieved the result of publishing it as final content.
Gangwon Tourism Foundation CEO Choi Seonghyun stated, "The foundation and Hallym University signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) in 2024 for the revitalization of tourism in Gangwon and for work collaboration," adding, "The agreement did not remain a mere formality, and the two institutions have created various outcomes through practical collaboration. Going forward, we will continue to take the lead in strengthening regional networks through cooperation with related organizations."
