Korea Sports Council President Yoo Seungmin Attends Uzbekistan OCA Assembly... Strengthening International Sports Diplomacy
The Korea Sports Council announced on January 28 that President Yoo Seungmin actively engaged in international sports diplomacy by attending the 46th General Assembly of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), held at the Hilton Tashkent City Hotel in Uzbekistan on January 26.
Yoo Seungmin, President of the Korea Sports Council, is conversing with Abdullaziz Besshen, Secretary General of the Saudi Arabian National Olympic Committee (NOC).

President Yoo Seungmin held meetings with key figures from the International Olympic Committee (IOC), OCA, and various countries, discussing ways to expand cooperation within the international sports community. In particular, during the assembly, President Yoo met with the newly elected OCA President, Sheikh Joaan Bin Hamad Al Thani, and agreed to work closely together for the sustainable development and strengthened cooperation of Asian sports. Additionally, they committed to joint efforts to create a fair and inclusive sports environment in Asia and to further reinforce the framework for cooperation between the OCA and its member countries.
On the same day, the Korea Sports Council signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee to strengthen sports cooperation between the two countries. The MOU was established following a meeting between the delegations of the two National Olympic Committees (NOCs). Both organizations agreed to cooperate in various areas, including sharing international sports information related to the Olympic movement, expanding exchanges of national team athletes and coaches between key sports federations (NFs) of both countries, and collaborating in fields such as sports science and anti-doping.

President Yoo Seungmin stated, "With the signing of this MOU, we will strengthen cooperation with Middle Eastern countries that have been actively participating on the international sports stage in recent years, and promote mutually beneficial sports exchanges."
