Interest in cooling appliances has surged again following the record-breaking heatwave of the summer of 2025. With the Korea Meteorological Administration announcing the introduction of a “Heatwave Emergency Alert” and a “Tropical Night Advisory” ahead of the summer of 2026, demand for replacing aging air conditioners that have been used for over ten years is also rapidly increasing. The 2026 Whisen air conditioner lineup has been sequentially displayed at Best Shop stores nationwide since January 23, offering more opportunities for consumers to try out the products in person. Visitors can experience the AI voice recognition feature, which provides operational guidance and recommends optimal modes, and can also see firsthand the “AI Wind” function, which automatically adjusts cooling based on the user’s location and space without the need for remote control operation. The process of automatically adjusting wind strength and direction according to moments requiring powerful cooling or situations needing comfort maintenance can be intuitively observed in-store.
The new lineup also introduces the “AI Cold-Free” feature, which simultaneously controls indoor temperature and humidity. AI Cold-Free is a technology that lowers indoor humidity without making the air excessively cold, helping to maintain a comfortable and dry environment even during extended air conditioner use. By utilizing LG Electronics’ two-stage heat exchanger structure, air with removed moisture is passed through a warm heat exchanger again to maintain an appropriate temperature, thereby addressing the issue of excessive temperature drops that occurred with previous dehumidification modes.
The “Filter Cleanbot” feature, designed for easier maintenance, is another highlight at LG Electronics Best Shop stores. This technology automatically cleans dust accumulated on the ultra-fine filter at regular intervals, reducing performance degradation and ensuring stable cooling efficiency. Customers can directly observe how the Filter Cleanbot operates and how easy it is to maintain at the store.
With the launch of the new products, LG Electronics Best Shop is also offering a variety of promotional benefits. Customers who purchase by March 31 and complete installation by May 31 can receive up to 250,000 won per model, and those who choose a subscription purchase will benefit from monthly fee discounts. Additionally, new subscription customers can take advantage of promotions offering either free additional piping support or piping cleaning services.
