Rideflux Launches Late-Night Autonomous BRT Service in Busan
Supporting Citizen Mobility Until 3:30 a.m. After Regular BRT Service Ends
Autonomous driving software startup Rideflux announced on January 26 that it will launch a late-night autonomous bus rapid transit (BRT) service in Busan.
This service is a fully public autonomous public transportation option available to all citizens during late-night hours, after the regular BRT service has ended.
Rideflux's late-night autonomous BRT will operate with a single electric bus, accommodating up to 15 passengers per vehicle. The service will run on weekdays from 11:30 p.m. to 3:30 a.m.

It aims to fill the gap in public transportation after the regular BRT service ends, enhancing mobility for citizens and connecting major subway stations and key locations.
Rideflux has equipped the vehicle with eight cameras and six LiDAR sensors, enabling 360-degree real-time detection of surrounding vehicles, pedestrians, and objects. The bus also features autonomous cooperative driving capabilities that are integrated with the smart road system along the route, providing even more stable operations. In the event of unexpected situations during operation, a safety officer will intervene to further ensure safety.
Last year, Rideflux expanded citizens' everyday experience with autonomous driving through its autonomous bus service launched at the Osiria Tourism Complex in Busan. With this late-night BRT expansion, the company aims to further enhance mobility for Busan residents.
