Stonebridge Ventures: "Full-Fledged Exit Cycle Begins... Multiple IPO Candidates in Pipeline"
Reevesmed Exit Begins, Multiple IPOs in the Pipeline
"Impact of New AI Fund Formation Becoming Visible"
Stonebridge Ventures achieved its highest-ever exit performance from its managed funds last year and is expected to enter a full-fledged "exit cycle" phase this year.
According to Stonebridge Ventures on January 14, the company shifted into full-scale exit mode for KOSDAQ-listed Reevesmed at the end of last year, and starting this year. In addition, for some portfolio companies such as Nota and NBR Motion, there are still remaining shares subject to lock-up restrictions.
Several new exit candidates are also in the pipeline. Major portfolio companies considered as exit candidates include Adell, which signed a large-scale technology transfer agreement with global pharmaceutical company Sanofi; IdeaHub, Asia's largest patent monetization company (NPE); Musinsa; Upstage; and Peace Peace Studio.
Furthermore, in a wide range of industries such as artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced manufacturing, multiple IPOs are scheduled, including Nearthlab, Madup, and Allganize (Allganize, listed in Japan). As a result, the exit cycle is expected to last longer than initially anticipated. In particular, in the bio sector, in addition to Adell, portfolio companies such as Ingenia Therapeutics and NexEye are preparing for listing procedures.
These positive exit results are expected to contribute to securing future investment resources and increasing management fees. Several funds managed by Stonebridge Ventures have exceeded their benchmark returns, and the newly formed AI fund has already secured more than 200 billion won in LOCs (Letters of Commitment) just six months after fundraising began.
