"Is My Child's OTT Viewing Safe?"... Korea Media Rating Board Publishes Parental Control Guidebook
Includes Blocking Settings for Each Platform, Including Coupang Play
The Korea Media Rating Board announced on January 12 that it has published the "OTT Parental Control Guidebook" to help protect children from harmful video content.
The guidebook clearly organizes the different parental control settings for each major OTT platform, making them easy to understand. It also includes all the latest updates from platforms that have recently revamped their systems, such as Coupang Play, TVING, and Weverse, thereby enhancing its effectiveness.
Beyond being a simple manual of features, the guidebook also offers practical educational tips. It includes advice on how to watch videos healthily with children, as well as a "Parental Control Checklist" that allows families to assess the safety level of their home, maximizing its usefulness for households.
