Gyeongju City Warns "Ice Sledding on Rivers Is Dangerous"... Urges Immediate Refrain from Entering Bukcheon and Aegicheongso
Recently, as cold waves have caused rivers such as Bukcheon and Aegicheongso in Gyeongju City to freeze, there have been repeated instances of children going onto the ice to ride sleds, raising concerns about potential safety accidents.
According to Gyeongju City on January 4, some children were seen entering onto the ice with their guardians after the river surface froze.

In response, Gyeongju City has put up safety banners in the frozen sections of the river to prohibit the use of ice sleds and to urge people to refrain from entering.
Additionally, more banners have been installed in river-adjacent areas such as the Woljeonggyo Bridge area, the Gyeongju Arts Center, and the Hyeongok region to further raise public awareness among citizens.
