Doosan Enerbility Signs 575 Billion KRW EPC Contract with Yawol Offshore Wind Power
First Supply of Independently Developed 8MW Offshore Wind Turbines
Doosan Enerbility announced on December 31 that it has signed an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) supply contract with Yawol Offshore Wind Power Co., Ltd. for the construction of the Yawol Offshore Wind Power Complex in Yeonggwang, Jeollanam-do, with a capacity of approximately 104MW.

The contract is valued at 575 billion KRW. Through this agreement, Doosan Enerbility will not only supply its independently developed 8MW offshore wind turbines but also carry out EPC work across the entire project.
This is the first time Doosan Enerbility has signed a supply contract for its 8MW offshore wind turbines. The 8MW-class offshore wind turbine, independently developed in 2022 using domestic technology and internationally certified by UL, is characterized by its design tailored to the Korean environment, where wind speeds are lower compared to European countries.
For this project, Doosan Enerbility's business groups will each be responsible for different tasks. The Power Service BG will supply the wind turbines, while the Plant EPC BG will handle the supply, installation, and construction of equipment. Additionally, Doosan Enerbility will be responsible for the long-term service agreement (LTSA) after completion, ensuring the stable operation of the complex. The company aims to complete the Yeonggwang Yawol Offshore Wind Power Complex by March 2029.
