On December 26, Namyangju City in Gyeonggi Province announced that it had presented the '2025 Gyeonggi-do Military Service Honored Family Certification Plaque' to 62 families in the region who were selected as the 2025 Gyeonggi-do Military Service Honored Families, honoring the legacy of families who have faithfully fulfilled their military service obligations.

It recognizes families in which three generations have all faithfully completed active military service.
The city delivered the certification plaques in various ways, taking into account the circumstances and characteristics of each family. In some cases, the heads of local districts personally presented the plaques, while in others, relevant department heads conducted the presentation. For families with mobility difficulties, plaques were delivered directly to their homes. Through these efforts, the city focused on conveying sincere gratitude.
A city official stated, "Military Service Honored Families who have quietly fulfilled their military obligations are valuable assets that the local community should respect and remember," adding, "We will continue to implement effective recognition policies to ensure that the honor of Military Service Honored Families spreads throughout civil society."
