The city ran programs aimed at helping young people who had given up on job searching or were struggling to find employment, focusing on restoring confidence, career exploration, and enhancing job skills.
Through the project, the city provided various programs for 96 young participants, including career exploration, self-understanding, and employability training, as well as initiatives to help restore social relationships and promote psychological stability. The city explained that participant satisfaction was high due to the participant-centered programs such as company visits, social dining, and cultural experiences.
The city added that it achieved the highest grade because 95 out of the participants completed the program, resulting in a high completion rate of 97%.
Based on this achievement, the city plans to expand the Youth Challenge Support Project next year to include 104 participants. Osan City will select participants through pre-notification applications and consultations by March next year, and will sequentially operate short-term, mid-term, and long-term programs starting in April.
