View original imageThe comprehensive survey of public property is a program conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety from April 2024 to June 2025, targeting local governments nationwide. It was implemented to enhance the efficiency of public property management by accurately identifying the current status of public property, correcting errors in official records, and discovering unregistered assets.
In this survey, Gwangju City focused on a full-scale investigation of the status of public property, correcting discrepancies between ledgers and registry records, conducting on-site inspections of unauthorized occupation and unused assets, and improving data accuracy by utilizing a spatial information system.
As a result, the city addressed 14,987 out of 15,540 items requiring correction, achieving a correction rate of 96%. This achievement was recognized as the result of active collaboration between relevant departments.
