This collaboration is especially meaningful as senior care companies from Korea and Japan seek sustainable business models in response to shared challenges such as an aging population and growing demand for senior healthcare.
On this day, the three companies selected the following as key areas of cooperation: advancement of the senior care industry, improvement of care service quality, talent development, and business innovation. They agreed to gradually pursue joint project development, regular meetings, and on-site training programs.
Prior to the event, the Sompo Care delegation visited 'Gwanggyo Village,' a newly opened facility by KB Golden Life Care, where they toured domestic senior housing and care facilities, as well as digital-based care service research centers. Through this visit, both sides shared their respective approaches to senior care operations and technology implementation, and exchanged extensive views on future cooperation opportunities and directions for development.
Jung Moonchul, CEO of KB Life, stated, "This joint declaration marks the first step in designing a more systematic and advanced life care ecosystem by combining the senior business experience accumulated by KB Life and KB Golden Life Care with Japan's advanced care expertise."
He added, "Going forward, KB Life will continue to provide senior life care services that customers and their families can trust and rely on, fulfilling our commitment to respecting life and loving our customers as an insurance company."
