Mixed-Use Complex Including Apartment Buildings to Be Built in Naesammi District 3, Osan City
A large-scale apartment complex with approximately 1,600 units will be built in Naesammi-dong, Osan City, Gyeonggi Province.
On December 23, the Gyeonggi Provincial Government approved Osan City's application to change the 'Urban Management Plan (Zoning District)' for Naesammi District 3 and announced the decision on the province's official website.
According to this change in the urban management plan, a mixed-use complex-including an apartment complex accommodating 1,624 households, a commercial plaza, a sports club, a medical center, and a business club-will be constructed on a 152,000-square-meter site in Naesammi-dong, Osan City.
As a public contribution measure for this zoning change, Gyeonggi Province required the installation of a youth training facility (four stories above ground) on a 13,506-square-meter site at 617-3 Saegyo-dong and its surrounding area.
The Gyeonggi Provincial Government expects that, once the apartment complex and mixed-use facilities are established in Naesammi-dong, they will be linked with the abundant educational, cultural, and commercial infrastructure of nearby Dongtan New Town and Saegyo Districts 1 and 2, thereby further strengthening the residential function of eastern Osan City and greatly contributing to revitalizing the local economy.

Kim Heeseong, Director of Urban Policy at Gyeonggi Province, stated, "With this change in the urban management plan, we are now able to manage the relatively underdeveloped area around Naesammi-dong in a more systematic manner compared to the neighboring Osan Saegyo residential development district. We will continue to provide administrative support to improve residential conditions through planned urban development."
