Gangwon Province Signs Business Agreement with Samyang Foods

At the event, the case of Buldak Potato Chips, which are fully exported to Japan through an unusual collaboration between local companies Haitai Calbee and Samyang, was introduced. Inspired by this, the province decided to promote the development of new products using Buldak Sauce in local food products.
Under the agreement, the province will implement the "K-Food Product Development Collaboration Support" program, providing financial support to companies participating in new product development. Samyang Foods will supply Buldak Sauce, both free of charge and for a fee, and participate in the commercialization process and marketing efforts.
Participating companies will be selected through an open call in January 2026, after which product development and prototype production will begin. From the second half of the year, new products will be showcased at various festivals and exhibitions.
