Suwon City Receives Top Grade for Execution of Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupons
Suwon City in Gyeonggi Province received the highest grade (Grade A) in the "Outstanding Local Governments in the Execution of Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupons" evaluation, organized by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
Suwon City operated a dedicated task force for consumption coupons and set up exclusive service counters, deploying staff on site. To further improve accessibility for citizens, an additional on-site registration counter called "Saebit On-the-Go" was established at the comprehensive social welfare center.
In addition, the city simplified the appeals process and secured 250,000 prepaid cards free of charge to ensure a smooth card issuance process and prevent inconvenience during distribution. Prepaid cards without unit price distinctions or markings were also secured to enhance user convenience.
Braille consumption coupon cards and Braille guides were also provided to strengthen administrative services accessible to everyone. For approximately 6,300 individuals with mobility difficulties, the city offered door-to-door services to ensure that citizens unable to visit in person were not left out.
