The funds will be used to provide 800 sacks of white rice (10kg each) to vulnerable households in 18 cities and counties across the province through the Gangwon Social Welfare Council.
Since 2014, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province and KT&G Gangwon Headquarters have been delivering donations focused on coal briquettes for energy-poor households during winter. However, taking into account changes in living conditions and the needs of beneficiaries, they decided to provide white rice this year to offer more practical livelihood support.
Yeo Junghyup, Vice Governor for Administrative Affairs, expressed his gratitude to the provincial government employees and KT&G Gangwon Headquarters for their generous contributions, stating, "I hope that this year-end donation will provide real help and be of some support to residents facing difficulties."
