Year-End Social Contribution in Seoul: Busan Port Authority Donates Goods Worth 6 Million Won to Child Protection Facilities
Why did a public institution headquartered in a regional area extend a helping hand to the Seoul metropolitan area?
On December 17, the Busan Port Authority (BPA, President Song Sangkeun) announced that it had carried out a social contribution activity on December 16, sharing warmth with those in need by supporting a child protection facility in Seoul for the year-end season.
This initiative is part of the BPA Seoul Office staff's ongoing commitment to neighborly love, as employees voluntarily participate in community service each year by reaching out to those around their workplace.
The Busan Port Authority donated goods worth approximately 6 million won, including tableware and household furniture, to two child welfare facilities in Seoul: Myungjin Deulkot Sarang Village and Eden Ivil. On this day, Jungwoo Lee, Deputy General Manager of the Seoul Office, personally visited the facilities to deliver the donated items. Additionally, staff members engaged in volunteer activities such as environmental cleaning and infant care.
