BPA Strengthens Anti-Corruption Cooperation with Korea Transparency Organization
Establishing a Foundation for Integrity and Transparent Management through Civil Society Collaboration
Busan Port Authority (BPA, President Song Sanggeun) signed a business agreement on December 16 with the Korea Transparency Organization (Co-CEO Yoo Hanbeom and two others) to strengthen anti-corruption and integrity capabilities and to promote a culture of integrity.

View original imageThis agreement was pursued to further enhance BPA’s integrity and transparent management system through cooperation with a civil society anti-corruption organization, and to faithfully fulfill its social responsibilities as a public institution.
The Korea Transparency Organization is the Korean chapter of Transparency International, a global anti-corruption non-governmental organization (NGO). It has contributed to spreading a culture of integrity throughout society by conducting anti-corruption policy research, transparency assessments, education, and campaigns.
With this agreement, the two organizations plan to establish specific action items and continue to expand cooperation, including: ▲ joint projects to promote anti-corruption and integrity culture ▲ sharing expertise and improving systems ▲ education, research, and information exchange to strengthen integrity and ethical capabilities ▲ and strengthening cooperation with domestic and international anti-corruption networks.
