One Year in Prison Sought for Koo Yeonkyung
Prosecutors have sought prison sentences for Koo Yeonkyung, President of the LG Welfare Foundation and eldest daughter of the late Koo Bonmoo, former Chairman of LG Group, as well as her husband Yoon Kwan, CEO of Bluerun Ventures (BRV), who have been brought to trial on charges of acquiring stocks using undisclosed information.

On December 16, during the final hearing of Yoon's case for violating the Capital Markets Act at the 13th Criminal Division of the Seoul Southern District Court (Presiding Judge Kim Sangyeon), prosecutors requested the court to sentence Yoon to two years in prison and a fine of 50 million won. For Koo, who was also indicted for violating the Capital Markets Act, prosecutors sought a one-year prison sentence, a fine of 20 million won, and an additional forfeiture of approximately 156.66 million won.
