On December 15, Hwasun County in South Jeolla Province joined hands with the Korea Mine Reclamation Association to effectively promote mine reclamation projects in abandoned mine areas.

The joint goals are to create a safer and more pleasant environment and to revitalize the local economy.
The county will cooperate to ensure the smooth progress of the project by expediting permit processing, strengthening administrative support, and gathering residents’ opinions. The Korea Mine Reclamation Association plans to create jobs and provide tangible economic benefits to the region by utilizing local companies and prioritizing the employment of local residents.
