The city invested 1,281 million won over nine months, from March of this year until recently, to install the pedestrian bridge at Maemdol Park on the Tancheon Stream.
The Maemdol Park pedestrian bridge measures 58 meters in length and 5 meters in width, and was installed after removing the existing stepping stones.
With the opening of this bridge, citizens using strollers, bicycles, and wheelchairs will no longer have to make a detour of about 600 meters to cross the Tancheon Stream via Sunae Bridge or Seohyeon Bridge, resolving previous inconveniences.
Pedestrians, who were previously unable to use the stepping stones whenever the stream's water level rose even slightly due to rain, will now be able to cross the Tancheon safely using the pedestrian bridge.
Accessibility to the park golf course has also improved, which is expected to have a positive impact on the promotion of recreational sports.
The city relocated the stepping stones that were removed for the installation of the Maemdol Park pedestrian bridge to the Tancheon Stream at 193-3 Gumi-dong (near Mujigae Village).
