Busan Port Authority Selected as Top-Performing Agency for Second Consecutive Year in Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries Disaster Management Evaluation
Busan Port Authority (BPA), led by President Song Sangkeun, has been selected as the top-performing agency for the second consecutive year in the "2025 Disaster Management Responsible Agency Evaluation" conducted by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries.
The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries introduced the Disaster Management Responsible Agency Evaluation system in 2024 to enhance the effectiveness of disaster response systems.
This year's evaluation targeted 21 affiliated agencies responsible for disaster management under the "Framework Act on the Management of Disasters and Safety." The assessment comprehensively reviewed disaster management capabilities, focusing on disaster prevention, education and training, emergency response systems, and resource management and operations.
This year, the top two agencies were selected as the highest-performing institutions. Among the evaluated agencies, Busan Port Authority was the only one to achieve the highest rating for two consecutive years.
