Transit Card App Service Now Available for Galaxy Watch

From now on, any Samsung Wallet user will be able to issue and use the Climate Companion Card on their Galaxy smartphone. Galaxy users who use eSIM can now also use the Tmoney transit card, and the Samsung Wallet Transit Card service will be added to Galaxy Watch as well.

Samsung Electronics announced on December 12 that it has newly added the Climate Companion Card service to the Samsung Wallet Transit Card to enhance the convenience of public transportation use for Galaxy smartphone users.

The Climate Companion Card is an integrated commuter pass that allows unlimited use of Seoul's public transportation for a certain period after a single fare is loaded.

The Samsung Wallet Climate Companion Card, a digital transit card, enables users to enjoy all the benefits of the Climate Companion Card without the inconvenience of carrying a physical card. Users can check usage history and balance, renew passes, and manage other services directly within Samsung Wallet. Previously, Galaxy smartphone users needed to use the Tmoney app for Android to access the Climate Companion Card.

Samsung Electronics is also expanding support for the Samsung Wallet Tmoney transit card. In addition to the existing USIM method, support has now been extended to smartphones activated with eSIM. This allows Galaxy users who have activated their devices with eSIM only to select and use the transit card that best suits their needs.

In addition, Samsung Electronics has added the Samsung Wallet Transit Card service not only to Galaxy smartphones but also to Galaxy Watch. By installing the Samsung Wallet Transit Card app on the Galaxy Watch and registering the Ezul transit card, users can use the transit card with just their watch, without needing a smartphone. Galaxy users can freely choose to use the transit card service on either their smartphone or watch.

With these improvements, Samsung Wallet now supports both prepaid and postpaid Tmoney and Ezul transit cards, as well as public transit card services such as the Climate Companion Card and K-Pass. K-Pass is a program that provides a partial refund of transit expenses for those who use public transportation more than 15 times a month.
