Changnyeong County Honored with '2025 Ministry of Health and Welfare Welfare Administration Award' for 11 Consecutive Years
The Only County in South Gyeongsang to Receive the Top Award
Changnyeong County in South Gyeongsang Province announced on December 11 that it has set a record by winning awards for 11 consecutive years in the Ministry of Health and Welfare's 2025 Regional Welfare Project Evaluation, receiving top honors in three categories and an excellence award in one category. Additionally, the county was selected as an outstanding city and county in other welfare administration evaluations, achieving a total of seven awards.
Since 2013, the Ministry of Health and Welfare has been selecting and awarding outstanding local governments that have demonstrated excellence in welfare administration through its regional welfare project evaluation.

View original imageThis year, Changnyeong County received the Grand Prize in the Public-Private Cooperation Case Competition, the Top Award in the Operation of the Hope Welfare Support Team, the Top Award in the Provision of Outreach Health and Welfare Services, the Excellence Award in the Prevention and Management of Solitary Deaths, the Excellence Award in the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's 2025 Excellence Case Competition for Welfare and Safety Improvements in Towns and Villages, the Top Award in the Evaluation of Welfare Projects for Persons with Disabilities, and the Excellence Award in the Evaluation of Volunteer Centers among cities and counties in South Gyeongsang Province, earning the distinction of winning in seven categories.
In the operation of the Hope Welfare Support Team, the county received high marks for revitalizing cooperation in public sector case management, establishing an integrated service delivery system through public-private and public sector collaboration, and efforts to promote resource sharing to address disparities in welfare resources between regions.
In the provision of outreach health and welfare services, Changnyeong County was recognized as the top local government for its efforts to identify and connect those in welfare blind spots, strengthen the capabilities of staff involved in health and welfare, and operate outreach health and welfare education programs.
In the prevention and management of solitary deaths, the county was recognized for its outstanding efforts in implementing projects utilizing private sector personnel, forming public-private consultative bodies for solitary death prevention, and linking and operating customized programs tailored to the characteristics of target groups.
