Gwangju Office of Education Announces 65 Candidates Passed First Round of Teacher Recruitment Exam
Second Round of Exams to Be Held in January Next Year
The Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education announced on December 10 the list of candidates who passed the first round of the public kindergarten, elementary school, and special school teacher recruitment exam. A total of 65 candidates, which is 1.5 times the number of available positions, are eligible to take the second round of the exam.
Out of the 44 positions to be filled, 9 for kindergarten, 43 for elementary school, 5 for special school (kindergarten), and 8 for special school (elementary) were confirmed as first-round passers. The successful candidates will take the second round of the exam, which will be held from January 7 to 9 next year.
The second round will comprehensively assess the candidates' professionalism and teaching competence. On the first day, there will be an in-depth interview focusing on aptitude and expertise; on the second day, a teaching demonstration and in-depth interview; and on the third day, an English teaching demonstration and interview.

The final list of successful candidates will be announced on January 28 next year.
