Seminar to Be Held on December 12: Sharing LIMAC’s Research Achievements
Discussing Innovative Approaches to Feasibility Evaluation Standards
The Korea Research Institute for Local Administration (President: Yuk Dongil) will hold a seminar on December 12 at the LW Convention Center in Seoul to commemorate the 11th anniversary of the Local Investment Management Center (LIMAC). The seminar, organized to enhance the transparency and efficiency of the local investment project feasibility study system, will share LIMAC’s key research achievements and explore future directions for local investment projects.

View original imageThe event will begin with opening remarks by Yuk Dongil, President of the Institute, followed by congratulatory speeches from Han Soonki, Director General for Local Finance and Economy at the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, and Kim Donggeon, Chairman of the LIMAC Advisory Committee.
The core of the seminar will be in-depth presentations by LIMAC researchers. The four main presentations will cover major issues related to establishing evaluation standards for local investment projects: Jeong Yeonbaek, Associate Research Fellow, will present on "Establishing Evaluation Criteria for Local Medical Centers"; Kim Sanggi, Research Fellow, will discuss "Realizing the Benefits of Cultural and Sports Facilities"; Song Jiyeong, Research Fellow, will address "Application of Non-Market Value Measurement Methods"; and Kim Jihun, Associate Research Fellow, will present on "Establishing a Local R&D Evaluation System."
Following the presentations, a comprehensive discussion will be moderated by Park Wankyu, Professor Emeritus at Chung-Ang University. Experts from academia, research institutes, and policy fields closely related to local investment projects will participate in the discussion. Key discussants include Park Gwangyu, Director of the Policy Research Center at the Association of Metropolitan and Provincial Governors of Korea; Park Kyungyeol, Director of the Planning and Coordination Office at the Korea Culture & Tourism Institute; Ahn Byungmin, Research Fellow at the Center for Institutional Innovation at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology Evaluation and Planning; Yoon Hayoun, Director of the Incheon Public Investment Management Center; and Lim Sangsu, Professor at Chosun University.

The Institute stated that this seminar will serve as an important opportunity to assess the direction for advancing the local investment project feasibility study system, and expressed hope that the outcomes of the discussions will contribute to enhancing the soundness of local finances and the efficiency of investments in the future.
