National Institute for Korean Medicine Development to Officially Launch "Korean Medicine Laboratory Information Management System" in January Next Year

The Intelligent Informatization Center of the National Institute for Korean Medicine Development (Acting Director Song Sujin) held the 3rd Expert Advisory Committee meeting on December 9 at its Seoul branch regarding the "Korean Medicine Laboratory Information Management System (KLIMS) Establishment Project."
KLIMS, which is scheduled for official launch in January next year, is a service designed to systematically provide collected and refined experimental data on Korean medicine, as well as support researchers through features such as AI-based network analysis.

View original imageThis advisory committee meeting was attended by officials from the Ministry of Health and Welfare, as well as experts from academia, industry, and research institutes. They reviewed the progress and overall system of the KLIMS project and discussed improvements needed for further advancement.
In the short term, KLIMS will be built focusing on non-clinical (experimental) information. In the mid-to-long term, the plan is to expand the system to include various types of data and AI-powered functions.
Kim Sangjin, Director of the Intelligent Informatization Center at the National Institute for Korean Medicine Development, stated, "We will actively incorporate diverse feedback so that KLIMS, which will officially launch in January next year, can provide practical support to researchers and enhance the completeness of the service. We will continue expanding data types and advancing AI-integrated analysis features to strengthen research usability."
