Ulleung County Rural New Vitality Plus Project Promotion Team Hosts Event

On December 5 at 2 p.m., the Ulleung County Rural New Vitality Plus Project Promotion Team successfully held a performance sharing event with local residents, as well as the opening ceremony for the new regional hub space, "Nature GREEN Park," to celebrate and share the project's achievements.

The Ulleung County Rural New Vitality Plus Project, promoted under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, has aimed to establish a self-sustaining growth structure based on local resources, revitalize resident-led communities, and spread the value of wild vegetable field agriculture.

In particular, the core group known as the "Action Group" has contributed to the sustainable revitalization of Ulleung County by engaging in a variety of fields, including processing local specialty products, developing content, and operating programs.

For this event, nine teams from the first to third cohorts of the Action Group participated, showcasing their activities and achievements in one place. A wide range of prototypes and project outcomes developed based on wild vegetable field agriculture were exhibited, drawing significant interest from visitors.

The newly opened "Nature GREEN Park" (located in Seomyeon, Ulleung County) is expected to serve as a key regional hub for ongoing exchanges and activities among both Action Group members and local residents.

The opening ceremony featured a progress report on the project, presentations on Action Group activities, a celebratory performance by the Ulleung Dokdori Nanta Team, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, an exhibition and viewing of Action Group achievements, and a tour of the factory building, all attended by key guests. The event also introduced future plans for the space's utilization.

During the performance sharing event, exhibition booths and tasting and experience programs utilizing prototypes developed by the Action Group were set up, providing visitors with the opportunity to experience the project's achievements firsthand and gain a deeper understanding of its significance.

The event was attended by about 200 people, including members of the Ulleung County Rural New Vitality Plus Project Promotion Team and Ulleung County residents, and concluded successfully.
