Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 9th that it had signed a 'Business Agreement for Attracting Foreign Tourists and Revitalizing the Local Economy' with Hyundai DF Co., Ltd., the operator of Hyundai Duty Free, on the 8th.

View original imageThe agreement ceremony, attended by Jung Myung-geun, Mayor of Hwaseong, Park Jang-seo, CEO of Hyundai DF, and others, was organized to establish a win-win cooperation system for attracting foreign tourists and to realize social value.
Under this agreement, the two parties will cooperate on the following: ▲joint promotion of tourism products to encourage visits by foreign tourists ▲joint collaboration in promoting, marketing, and operating events related to Hwaseong's tourism resources and Hyundai Duty Free ▲joint implementation of win-win cooperation and contribution activities for the local community through attracting foreign tourists ▲and mutual development of both institutions through ongoing exchange and cooperation.
The city plans to actively cooperate with the company to enhance its appeal to tourists from various countries, regions, and social groups, as well as to strengthen the development of tourism products utilizing the city's tourism resources and to promote local businesses and specialty products.
In particular, the city expects that this agreement will create a synergistic effect in revitalizing local tourism, especially as it coincides with the opening of the West Coast Golden Coastal Road, the launch of the Eco Farm Theme Park, and the official opening of the Seohaemaru Youth Hostel next year, which will expand the city's tourism infrastructure.
