Pretended to View Vacant Apartment... Man Ties Up Real Estate Agent and Steals Card
A man who tied up a real estate agent with a rope and stole his card before fleeing in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province, was apprehended by police in Seoul.
According to the police on December 8, the Geumcheon Police Station in Seoul arrested a man in his 50s, identified as Mr. A, on robbery charges at around 6:30 p.m. that day within their jurisdiction.
Mr. A is accused of meeting the real estate agent at an apartment in Pyeongtaek at around 2:30 p.m. on the same day under the pretense of viewing a vacant unit, tying him up with a rope, stealing his mobile phone and card, and fleeing the scene.
It was found that Mr. A withdrew cash using the stolen card, purchased jewelry, and then converted it back into cash.
