The National Heritage Administration, in collaboration with the National Intangible Heritage Skills Association, will hold the "Korea Traditional Craft Transmission Exhibition" from December 11 to 19 at the National Intangible Heritage Training Center Exhibition Hall in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.

This event highlights the achievements of artisans who have preserved the lineage of Korean traditional crafts for half a century. This year, 339 works were submitted across twelve categories. After the first round of judging, 163 candidate works were selected. These underwent a public online review, on-site expert inspections, and a second round of judging, ultimately resulting in the selection of nine main award-winning pieces, including the Presidential Award.

The Presidential Award was given to Jeong Ki-hwan for his "Najeon Chrysanthemum Pattern Jewelry Box," which was recognized for its combination of durability and traditional beauty through the use of traditional weaving methods and lacquer techniques.

The Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award was presented to Kim Hyunju for the "Juni Jongjeongdo Embroidery Folding Screen," which received praise for its intricate depiction of ancient ceremonial vessels using various embroidery techniques.

The National Heritage Administration Director's Award was awarded to Kim Sunjeong and Kim Moonjeong for the "Eunipsa Chaekgeori Folding Screen," recognized for its color contrast and painterly expression achieved through the use of silver inlay.
