Gwangju Dong-gu Holds Special Exhibition "Secret Map of Mimi and Roro" at MIRO 1
On December 8, Gwangju Dong-gu announced that it will hold the special exhibition "MIRO UNLOCKED: Secret Map of Mimi and Roro" at the exhibition space "MIRO 1" on the first floor of the MIRO Center until December 20.
This exhibition features the MIRO Center's symbolic characters, "MiMi" and "RORO," created in collaboration with artist Choi Hyuk (ZAKHO), as the main protagonists. The journey of adventure they guide is depicted through 12 artworks. Visitors will be able to rediscover a variety of artistic moments that the MIRO Center has embraced by following each scene.
From December 13, during the exhibition period, participatory programs will also be held in the MIRO Center parking lot. Live performances, DJ shows, and various hands-on activities will be offered, allowing visitors to experience the world of Mimi and Roro from the exhibition in a more vivid and immersive way.
Artist Choi Hyuk (ZAKHO) explained, "These characters, created as symbols of the MIRO Center, invite us to view the many artistic moments that have filled this space with a playful and free-spirited sensibility," adding, "Mimi and Roro unfold the landscapes we may have overlooked in twelve scenes."
