This donation was collected through contributions from current students and graduates during the "25th Anniversary Celebration of the Graduate School of International Studies" held recently at the Commodore Hotel, and was delivered to the university. In addition to individual donors, organizations such as the Multicultural Alumni, Nokwoohoe, and the Graduate School of International Studies Alumni Association also participated.
Jo Hyunseok, who is currently in his third semester of the doctoral program after completing his undergraduate and master's degrees, reportedly encouraged many alumni and international students to participate in the donation by meeting them in person.
President Lee Haewoo stated, "This donation is even more meaningful because it was raised together by current students, graduates, and international students," adding, "We will use it with care for the development of the Graduate School of International Studies."
Alumni Association President Jo said, "This was not accomplished alone, but thanks to the participation of many people," and added, "I have a deep affection for my alma mater. I will continue to broaden my learning and do my best in my responsibilities."
Dean Shin Dongkyu expressed his gratitude, saying, "I am thankful that alumni and current students came together in spirit to mark the 25th anniversary," and added, "We will work even harder to attract international students and strengthen our educational competitiveness."
