Jinan County Recruiting Participants for Next Year's New Year Practical Training for Farmers
Applications Accepted Until January 14
10 Courses Including Watermelon and Chili Peppers
Jinan County in North Jeolla Province is recruiting participants for the "2026 New Year Practical Training for Farmers" until January 14.
On December 8, the county announced that it has organized group training sessions for a total of 1,000 people across 10 courses, aiming to enhance agricultural competitiveness and strengthen capacity to respond to climate change.
The main courses include programs related to local development and specialized crops such as watermelon and chili peppers, as well as GAP and pest and disease management. Essential certification courses are also included. The training is scheduled to be held 10 times between January 20 and February 6 next year.
This training has been designed with a focus on practical skills, reflecting the results of a preliminary demand survey and addressing field needs by crop and season. Courses not covered during the training period will be supplemented with additional specialized education by crop throughout the year, based on on-site demand.
Any Jinan County resident, farmer, or those planning to return to farming or relocate to rural areas can apply for the training, which is free of charge. Applications can be submitted online via the QR code in the Agricultural Technology Center's website notice, or by visiting township or town agricultural counseling centers, or the Agricultural Technology Center in person.
