Hwaseong City Discusses Future Investment Attraction Strategies at 'Investment Attraction Strategy Forum'
Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province held the '2025 Hwaseong Special City Investment Attraction Strategy Forum' at the multipurpose hall of the Dongtan 2 Incubating Center on December 5.
This forum was organized to assess the city's investment environment amid rapidly changing industrial conditions and to explore future growth strategies. More than 150 participants attended, including Cho Seungmoon, the Second Deputy Mayor of Hwaseong City, city council members, business leaders, representatives from related organizations, and public officials.

View original imageIn the first session, Kim Kwangseok, Head of the Economic Research Division at the Korea Economic and Industrial Research Institute, delivered a special lecture introducing major economic trends such as changes in the global supply chain, evolving criteria for corporate site selection, and the transformation of future industrial structures.
In the second session, Hong Sahm, Director of the Global Development Cooperation Center at the Korea Research Institute for Human Settlements, gave a presentation on the theme of "Shifting the Investment Attraction Paradigm for Hwaseong Special City Toward a Super-Gap City." Director Hong presented an objective analysis of Hwaseong City's industrial and locational conditions, an evaluation of past investment attraction achievements and policies, changes in global trends and national strategies, as well as future strategies based on residential environments and industrial infrastructure.
The panel discussion, moderated by Professor Lee Sangmoon of Hyupsung University, featured Kim Taeyoon, Executive Director of ASM Korea; Choi Songuk, Vice President of ICTWAY; Ahn Sanggyo, Chairman of the Hwaseong Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Baek Hanyeol, Professor at Hannam University; and Kim Yongmoon, Director of the Gyeonggi-do Foreign-Invested Enterprise Support Center. The panel discussed policy alternatives and implementation strategies in the fields of business, industry, economy, and administration.
