Daewoong Pharmaceutical Donates 5,000 Relief Supply Sets to Long-Term Wildfire-Affected Areas in North Gyeongsang
Support Provided to 4,200 Wildfire Victims Across Five Cities and Counties Including Andong and Cheongsong
Daewoong Pharmaceutical announced on December 8 that it has donated emergency relief supplies, including health functional foods, to the North Gyeongsang Provincial Government for residents displaced by wildfires in North Gyeongsang Province who are currently living in temporary modular housing. The provincial government plans to distribute the relief supplies to local residents affected by the disaster in phases through December.
This support is part of Daewoong Pharmaceutical's corporate social responsibility efforts to help wildfire victims in North Gyeongsang, South Gyeongsang, and Ulsan-who were affected by large-scale wildfires in March-return to healthy daily lives. The initiative was carried out across five cities and counties: Andong, Uiseong, Cheongsong, Yeongyang, and Yeongdeok.

The supplies included approximately 5,000 pharmaceutical products, over 10,000 daily necessities, and about 5,000 health functional food items. Around 4,200 people benefited from this donation, most of whom have been unable to return to their original homes and have been living in temporary facilities for more than six months since the wildfires occurred.
This donation focused on supporting vulnerable groups in social blind spots, helping them live stable lives and become self-reliant, healthy members of society. The initiative was designed not as a one-time effort, but as part of ongoing, sustainable activities to promote recovery in the local community and build a healthy, resilient society. Previously, in March, Daewoong Pharmaceutical also donated more than 3,000 pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical products to wildfire victims in partnership with the North Gyeongsang Pharmaceutical Association.
