Hanwha Group Donates 4 Billion Won for Year-End Neighbor Assistance Fund
Over 20 Years of Giving Since 2003
Ongoing Social Contribution Based on the "Together, Further" Philosophy
Hanwha Group has donated 4 billion won to the Community Chest of Korea to help neighbors in need. Since 2003, Hanwha Group has continued to contribute to the Community Chest of Korea for over 20 years, based on its social contribution philosophy of "Together, Further." Six affiliates participated in this donation: Hanwha Corporation, Hanwha Aerospace, Hanwha Ocean, Hanwha TotalEnergies, Hanwha Life Insurance, and Hanwha General Insurance.
To mark the end of the year, Hanwha is carrying out various community sharing activities in connection with its business sites located across different regions. Hanwha Aerospace is running the "Gureum Car" mobility support project for seniors with limited mobility, as well as sharing kimchi and winter supplies. Employees of Hanwha Life Insurance are delivering gifts to local children’s centers through the "Orange Santa" initiative. The distribution, service, and machinery divisions, including Hanwha Galleria, are supporting medical expenses for children with disabilities or rare diseases through the integrated social contribution project "Monthly Sip."
At the group level, Hanwha is also engaged in a variety of social contribution activities. These include the eco-friendly learning environment improvement project "Making Clean Schools," the future science talent development program "Pebbles of the Universe," the youth idea competition "Hanwha Science Challenge," and the "Hanwha Braille Calendar." Through these and other initiatives, Hanwha is contributing to nurturing future generations and supporting the socially disadvantaged.
