National Intangible Heritage Center to Dispatch Specialist Instructor to New Zealand
Agreement Signed with Korean Education Center and Auckland Korean Association
The National Intangible Heritage Center announced on December 8 that it will dispatch a national intangible heritage specialist instructor to Auckland, New Zealand, and operate an educational program for local Korean youth starting in June next year.
On December 5, the National Intangible Heritage Center signed a work agreement with the Korean Education Center in New Zealand and the Auckland Korean Association at the Auckland Korean Community Center to this effect.
The agreement includes dispatching local specialist instructors and operating educational programs, promoting educational and public relations projects in cooperation with overseas diplomatic missions, and providing intangible heritage-related facilities and educational venues.

An official from the National Intangible Heritage Center stated, "With international interest in Korean culture growing due to K-pop and K-dramas, we plan to expand education based on national intangible heritage to the Korean community in New Zealand."
