Goseong County Launches 2026 Sharing Campaign
Goseong County in Gangwon Province announced on December 5 that it will be running the "Hope 2026 Sharing Campaign" together with the Gangwon Community Chest of Korea for 62 days, from December 1, 2025, to January 31, 2026.
This campaign is a county-wide sharing initiative aimed at securing funding for welfare projects to be implemented throughout 2026 and promoting a culture of warm-hearted giving, through the voluntary participation of local residents, businesses, and organizations.
This year, Goseong County has set its fundraising target at 330 million won, the same as last year. Over the past three years, the county has consistently achieved high participation rates in fundraising, earning recognition as an outstanding local government in the Hope 2024 Sharing Practice and ranking first in the province for per capita donations among residents.
The campaign slogan is "Giving that Adds Happiness, Changing Goseong through Donations." Donations can be made through various channels, including the county office and township administrative welfare centers, broadcast station reception desks, ARS phone donations, QR code and text message donations, as well as online fundraising platforms.
During the campaign period, donation reception desks will be operated at the county office and five townships. All donations received will be transparently managed and distributed through the Gangwon Community Chest of Korea.
To encourage greater participation, Goseong County plans to promote the campaign through various means, including the county newsletter, website, and electronic bulletin boards, as well as by seeking cooperation from township leaders and related organizations and groups.
