GS Engineering & Construction has independently developed "Xi-Book," an AI-powered tool that allows users to search construction standards at any time, driving digitalization at construction sites. Xi-Book utilizes AI to analyze over 5,000 pages of the company's residential construction standard specifications, as well as specifications from Korea Land & Housing Corporation (LH), providing the latest standards. Previously, quality inspections required manually searching through documents or files, but Xi-Book enables users to obtain the information they need through a simple search. It also provides YouTube video links to help those unfamiliar with construction standards better understand the material. Since November last year, Xi-Book has been implemented at select sites. The service is being refined using feedback from actual users. Recently, a feature was added that extracts images and text using generative AI. Additionally, internal company data has been trained into the AI, allowing users to search it via the application. In the future, the app will be developed to function even at sites with limited internet connectivity. A GS Engineering & Construction representative involved in developing Xi-Book stated, "We are developing a variety of programs that can be practically used on-site by facilitating communication between field personnel and our in-house development teams through AI," adding, "We will continue to strengthen quality and safety through user-centered digital transformation."

Xi Voice is particularly useful for conveying information to workers of various nationalities during morning briefings or safety training sessions. When someone speaks in Korean, the program recognizes the speech and simultaneously displays the text in more than 120 languages, including Chinese and Vietnamese. Construction-specific terminology, which was previously difficult to translate accurately using existing translation programs, can now be translated into each country's language.
Xi Voice was also piloted at select sites from April to June, and the company is improving it by incorporating suggestions from actual users. Enhancements include more accurate translation of construction terms, support for a wider range of languages, keyboard input, mobile usage via QR codes for workers, and translation of materials used during briefings. Currently, translation is provided in text form only, but voice output in each language will be added in the future.

In addition, GS Engineering & Construction has developed and is utilizing the "GS Engineering & Construction Integrated Safety and Health Education Materials Platform," which allows users to easily access and use safety, health, equipment, and technical training materials in one place. The platform offers resources related to safety and health, such as major accident case studies from construction sites, educational videos, pre-safety materials, and training content. The previous material sharing system was inconvenient because each department managed materials differently and resources were scattered.
For the first time in the industry, GS Engineering & Construction has also created a virtual learning space that replicates actual construction sites using 3D scanning technology. Users can access information on construction methods, such as precast concrete (PC) construction, as well as equipment like construction lifts.
