Dongducheon City Revamps Bosan-dong Foreign Tourist Zone with 'Music Street'
Full-Scale Operation of Permanent Music Street Begins
Dongducheon City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Park Hyungdeok) has completed the 'Music Street' development project within the Bosan-dong Foreign Tourist Zone and is now officially operating a permanent music street designed to encourage both citizens and tourists to linger and enjoy the area.
This year, the city reorganized the audio lines along the Music Street, establishing an urban sound streaming environment where music can be naturally heard from anywhere along the street. In particular, the city replaced and upgraded outdated equipment to improve sound quality, creating a more pleasant listening experience.
The music broadcasting will initially be operated on a trial basis. During this period, the city will gather feedback from residents and local merchants to determine appropriate operating hours and broadcasting methods. This pilot operation is expected to invigorate the entire street and strengthen the unique atmosphere of the Bosan-dong special tourist zone.
The Bosan-dong Foreign Tourist Zone is establishing itself as a cultural and artistic complex street with its own distinct character, incorporating a variety of cultural contents such as 'World Food Street' and 'Music Center Permanent Performances.'
