Spat on Front Door and Threw Fire Extinguisher
The police have launched an investigation following a report that a delivery worker caused a disturbance by throwing a fire extinguisher toward the front door of an apartment in Incheon and then fled the scene.
According to the Michuhol Police Station in Incheon on December 4, a report was filed with the police around 6:30 p.m. on December 1, stating that a delivery worker spat on the front door of a resident’s apartment in Michuhol District, threw a fire extinguisher, and then ran away.
Mr. A, a man in his 40s living in the apartment, said he checked after his daughter told him she heard swearing and a loud thud from outside. Upon inspection, he discovered damage to his front door and traces of spit.
After reviewing the internal closed-circuit (CC) TV footage, it was found that the delivery worker, Mr. B, had coughed in the direction of Mr. A’s wife in front of the first-floor elevator before the incident. Mr. A reported to the police, believing that Mr. B’s actions were retaliatory after overhearing his wife mutter, “What’s wrong with him?” It was also confirmed that Mr. B checked which floor Mr. A’s wife got off the elevator.
