It was recognized for its active use of infographics, illustrations, and photographs to vividly deliver city policies and practical information, which led to this award.
The city explained that it also received high marks for its monthly concept-based design and editing, a regular section introducing local artists called 'Creative People,' and video content for small business owners accessible via QR codes.
The city distributes 'Icheon News' free of charge to all citizens and former residents who wish to subscribe. The newsletter is available at more than 150 locations, including Icheon City Hall, township and neighborhood administrative welfare centers, bus stops, and major apartment complexes.
Starting next year, the city plans to publish a mobile version of Icheon News to ensure that all generations can easily access municipal updates.
