Sungju-gun Wins 'Excellence Award' in Dementia Management Project... Selected for Best Practices in Two Categories
Achievements in Creating a Dementia-Friendly Environment
and Establishing a Customized Support System
Sungju-gun Dementia Relief Center (Director Park Gilsook) received the 'Excellence Award' in the 2025 Gyeongbuk Province Dementia Management Project Evaluation at the Dementia Management Project Performance Conference held on December 3, 2025.
The Dementia Management Project Evaluation was conducted across 29 items in 3 categories, targeting 24 dementia relief centers in Gyeongbuk Province. Sungju-gun was selected as an outstanding institution, receiving high marks in various areas including the Early Dementia Screening Project, Dementia Awareness Improvement Project, and Missing Person Prevention Project.
In particular, Sungju-gun Dementia Relief Center also demonstrated its capabilities in dementia prevention and management by being recognized for its achievements in the 2025 Public-Private Partnership Best Practices Contest for Dementia Management Projects. The center was selected for best practices in both the Gyeongsangbuk-do Dementia Prevention and Management Project and the "Our Village Beautiful Dementia Shelter" category, winning awards in both areas simultaneously.
