Korea Housing Finance Corporation Announces Winners of the "Housing Finance Experience Essay Contest"
Family Overcomes Blood Cancer to Win Grand Prize
Total of 19 Entries Selected, Cash Prizes Awarded
Korea Housing Finance Corporation (President Kim Kyunghwan) announced the winners of the "Housing Finance Experience Essay Contest (Stories of Korea Housing Finance Corporation: The Customer Is the Protagonist)" on December 3.
A total of 133 stories were submitted by customers who used the corporation's products, such as Bogeumjari Loan, housing guarantees, and reverse mortgages. The corporation comprehensively evaluated the entries for relevance to the theme, originality, and artistic merit, ultimately selecting 19 winning entries: 1 Grand Prize, 3 Excellence Awards, 5 Merit Awards, and 10 Encouragement Awards.
The Grand Prize went to the story titled "Reverse Mortgage That Held My Hands Tight While Sitting on the Long Bench Called Life," which tells of a mother diagnosed with blood cancer who, at the urging of her children, subscribed to a reverse mortgage to cover her medical expenses, ultimately achieving a full recovery and spending even more meaningful time with her seven children.
The results will be announced via text message and on the corporation's website. The Grand Prize winner (1 person) will receive 1 million won, each Excellence Award winner (3 people) will receive 500,000 won, each Merit Award winner (5 people) will receive 300,000 won, and each Encouragement Award winner (10 people) will receive 100,000 won.
