Daejeon City Introduces 'Daejeon Food Inspection Bot' Offering Customized Information and Inspection Schedules for Food Self-Quality Checks
The Nation’s First AI-Based Food Inspection Chatbot Service in Operation
Daejeon City is introducing the "Daejeon Food Inspection Bot," which provides customized information and schedules for self-quality inspection of food products.
From December 3 to December 5, Daejeon City is participating in the "2025 Korea Government Innovation Expo," held at OSCO in Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province. At this event, Daejeon is unveiling the "Daejeon Food Inspection Bot," an artificial intelligence (AI)-based food safety administrative service. This is the first such system to be established and operated by a local government in Korea.
Hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, this expo is held under the slogan "AI×Government Innovation=National Happiness 2." It serves as a platform to showcase how digital technology is making citizens' lives more convenient and safer. Daejeon City is operating an exhibition booth in the "Public AI Innovation" section, demonstrating the digital administrative capabilities of the nation's science capital.
The Daejeon Food Inspection Bot is an AI-based chatbot service that can be easily accessed via KakaoTalk. It provides tailored information on food self-quality inspections and sends notification messages according to inspection schedules. In particular, it plays a key role in improving accessibility for small-scale food businesses, helping them avoid administrative penalties due to missed inspections.
Visitors to the expo's booth can gain a deeper understanding of the necessity and functionality of the inspection bot, experience the "Daejeon Food Inspection Bot" firsthand through a kiosk, and witness the innovative transformation of rigid administrative services into a "friendly AI assistant."
