MapleStory Transformed into Therapeutic Content for Children's Rehabilitation Hospitals
New Content Academy Showcase to Be Held at COEX from December 4 to 6
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency will present the "New Content Academy Short-term Program 3rd Showcase" at the "AI Content Festival," which will be held for three days at COEX in Seoul starting December 4.
The New Content Academy short-term program is designed to foster professionals specializing in convergence content based on new technologies. This public-private cooperative training utilizes intellectual property (IP) from domestic content companies. The results of the six-month-long new technology project production training will be released at this event.
Key exhibits include interactive experiential media content utilizing Nexon's "MapleStory" IP. This work was developed for child patients visiting public children's rehabilitation hospitals and is characterized by its combination of gameplay and educational value.
Other works on display include: ▲ an AI animation series based on KB Vision's "Usousojjang" and "Sweet Monster" characters; ▲ a participatory storytelling game featuring "Nowz," an idol group under Cube Entertainment; and various other projects.
Jeon Wooyoung, Acting Director of the Korea Creative Content Agency, stated, "Visitors will be able to directly experience the future of K-content, where technology, creativity, and outstanding IP come together."
