Cost Savings Achieved through Use of Korea Polytechnic University's Specialized Equipment
The Small Enterprise and Market Service announced on the 3rd that it held the 2025 Joint Performance Sharing Meeting together with Korea Polytechnic University.

View original imageThis performance sharing meeting was organized to review the major collaborative achievements of this year and to discuss ways to further expand cooperation in the future, based on the partnership system established between the Small Enterprise and Market Service and Korea Polytechnic University since April 2024.
The meeting was attended by more than 170 people, including staff from the 12 regional headquarters and 78 regional centers of the Small Enterprise and Market Service, as well as representatives from 35 Korea Polytechnic University campuses nationwide. The event included presentations of outstanding regional cooperation achievements and an awards ceremony for distinguished contributors.
This year, the Small Enterprise and Market Service supported advanced practical training in 51 technology fields, including artificial intelligence (AI), smart manufacturing, 3D modeling, electrical control, food analysis, and biotechnology, producing 1,196 graduates. The satisfaction rate for the training exceeded 95%. By utilizing the specialized equipment at Korea Polytechnic University campuses in 14 training programs for small manufacturers, the organizations achieved cost savings in prototype production, quality inspection, and field practice, as well as improvements in manufacturing processes.
Technical consulting using Korea Polytechnic University's expert instructors was provided to 1,778 aspiring and returning entrepreneurs, promoting collaboration on product and technology advancement tailored to the industrial characteristics of each region. As a result, significant achievements such as new product development, increased sales, and technological advancement were realized in nine small manufacturer clusters.
In addition, the Small Enterprise and Market Service recognized Korea Polytechnic University's training courses as advanced employment training under the Hope Return Package program. Korea Polytechnic University, in turn, provided educational benefits to small business owners not enrolled in employment insurance and abolished the minimum number of trainees required for small businesses, thereby achieving institutional improvements.
