Man in His 40s Booked for Drunk Driving and Crashing into Facility in Downtown Gwangju at Dawn
A man in his 40s was apprehended by the police for driving under the influence and crashing into a facility in downtown Gwangju.
The Gwangju Seobu Police Station announced on December 2 that it had booked a man in his 40s, identified as Mr. A, on charges of drunk driving and violating the Road Traffic Act.
Mr. A is suspected of causing an accident at around 1:18 a.m. that day, when he drove a passenger car under the influence and crashed into a facility at Gwangcheon Intersection in Seo-gu, Gwangju.
The vehicle overturned in the accident, and Mr. A sustained minor injuries.
At the time of the accident, Mr. A's blood alcohol concentration was found to be at a level warranting license revocation.
